We decided to get out of town and
rent a cabin in Blue Ridge for a few days before Dawn had to go back to
work. We left New Year ’s Day amid some
miserable weather but we were just happy to be getting away. We arrived and the weather was just as bad,
if not worse. This was somewhat
disappointing because we really wanted to make use of the outdoor fireplace and
hot tub. But, we knew we’d be there a
few days and hoped that the weather would improve and thankfully it did. Our first full day there we decided to go
hiking. We had a great time except for Cooper
decided he didn't want to be in his carrier anymore and the fact that we got
lost because the trail split and wasn't marked.
Other than that, it was awesome.
