My birthday this year was a bit different than year’s past…we didn’t have a big party like we normally do and we didn’t take a trip to the beach BUT I did get to celebrate my birthday with some very special friends AND my sweet boy, Cooper. Zach and Kim made the trip all the way from Annapolis, Maryland to meet Mr. Cooper as well as hand deliver some very exciting news. When they arrived Thursday the 21st Scott went to the basement to get everyone a cold one. When he came back upstairs he jokingly said, “If anyone wants an o’douls there are plenty of those in the basement fridge”. And without missing a beat Zach said, “Well, Kim will take one of those”. It took Scott a minute for the news to register but when it did we were jumping with joy! We are so thrilled for Zach and Kim. They will be the best parents! We felt so honored to get the news in person! Saturday, we took the pups to the Chattahoochee Park to all go for a swim in the river. We had a few friends over later in the day to grill and hang out. Ryan and Casey surprised me with one of Gabriel’s famous strawberry cakes for my birthday! It was definitely a toned down version of years past, but a great day nonetheless. Zach and Kim headed back to Maryland on Sunday. Their visit went by way too fast, but it was definitely great to see them and to have them hand deliver their exciting news!
